Why is Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum cult status?

A bottle of Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum is highly sought after by any skincare devotee. Enthusiasts sweetly sing its praises and love adding it to their skincare ritual. Boasting 30+ active botanicals, it becomes a formidable champion in the vast landscape of skincare products. Glowing reports are in abundance of this golden elixir, consequently making it a cult classic in many skincare regimes.

The housing is in a dark violet miron glass bottle, which aims to filter out harmful light and preserve the serum. Recently, the company introduced us to their second offering, Active Treatment Essence. But skincare devotees will always refer to Vintner’s Daughter as the original, cult formula. And fans have lovingly simplified the name to Vintner’s Daughter.

What’s inside the bottle?

Aloe vera is the most prominent ingredient in this serum and is highly beneficial in skincare. Firstly, it is excellent in healing wounds and for treating burns and scars. Secondly, it is anti-inflammatory as it contains anti-oxidants, Vitamins A & C. Thirdly, it’s a terrific moisturiser on dry skin. Finally, it has also proven to be beneficial in treating acne, the superficial surface acne rather than cystic or deeper acne.

I used ithe serum after making my skin super sensitive from using Biologique Recherche P50 too frequently at night. It soothed my irritated skin beautifully. In saying that, if you have super sensitive skin, I would steer clear of this serum. All the botanical actives can be too irritating on sensitive skin. After my BR P50 ‘overcooking’, I found that when I applied the serum, it did cause a slight tingling on my face. The tingling however, dissipated in a few minutes and in the morning I was left with calmer skin.

How to use Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum and who is it suitable for?

Vintner’s Daughter says that you should using the Active Botanical Serum as your one and only holy grail of face treatments therefore, replacing all the other actives, and moisturisers and other serums or concoctions you have in your routine. This certainly would eliminate any conflict or adverse reactions from the serum. Those who relish a luxurious and lengthy skincare routine might feel short changed by only a one step process. Fear not, if using it twice daily, this serum is all your skin needs to feel adequately protected and nourished.

Vintner’s Daughter is safe to use if you’re pregnant and is an indulgent self-care ritual for when you’re growing a baby. Always follow your doctor’s advice when pregnant.

Are there any alternatives to Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum?

Using Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum sends you on a marvellous sensory ride. The smell is lovely and instantly transports you to a field in rural France filled with the most aromatic scents. Above all, it’s an incredibly joyful experience to use this serum, but is it worth the steep price?

My answer to this is, only if you can afford it. Which means that, if buying this results in you having to eat baked beans on toast for the next month, then don’t buy it. There are other fantastic botanical facial options for you to enjoy. These equally deliver the same blissful experience for much less money. Votary’s Super Seed Facial OilEmma Hardie’s Brilliance Facial Oil and Darphin’s 8 Flower Nectar are all great alternatives.

However, if you can afford it, and enjoy the drawn out ritual of an evening routine enveloping yourself in beautiful fragrance and transporting yourself into a tranquil bliss, then this serum is a worthwhile purchase.
